avast! Small Business Server Edition is a special version of avast! antivirus Server Edition, designed exclusively for Microsoft Small Business Servers.

The avast! Small Business Server Edition can be deployed only on Windows Small Business Servers version 2000, 2003 and 2008 (not on the standard Windows 2000, 2003 or 2008 servers!).

The Standard version contains the following components:

• Antivirus kernel + file system protection
• avast! Exchange Server plugin, to protect all traffic in the Exchange Server environment
• avast! Sharepoint Server plugin, to protect Microsoft Sharepoint Server

The Premium version contains all of the above components plus the following:

• avast! MS Proxy/ISA Server plugin, to protect the MS ISA Server

Version Standard:
Microsoft Small Business Server 2000, Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition, or Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 Standard Edition.

Version Premium:
Microsoft Small Business Server 2000, Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition, or Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 Premium Edition.

All versions:
PC Pentium, 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended), 80 MB of free hard disk space.

The program itself requires about 20 MB hard disk space, the rest is reserved for the virus recovery database file and its index (VRDB, also known as the "integrity database" from the previous version) and the Virus Chest.

If used in conjunction with SBS 2000, SP2 or higher for MS Exchange is required.
